Our Support Group Meetings

Who can join?

The group meets at least once a month, normally the last Sunday of each month. Although dates can vary according to planned events, it is best to get in touch to request a more detailed planner.

In the heart of Nottingham.

What time do you meet?

We normally start at 2 pm and finish at 5 pm.

What should I expect at the group meetings?

A caring and sharing environment, one which is Non-Judgemental and Respectful towards all its members, a place where Friendship, Support and encouragement goes hand in hand.

NO our service is provided to you Free of charge. There will also be Free refreshments provided throughout the evening.

ANYONE who has suffered the tragic loss of a loved one due to Murder/ Manslaughter or Sudden Traumatic Death e.g. Road Deaths, Natural Disasters.

Joining is simple! All you need to do is get in contact with us either via email or telephone & we will get back to you with all the necessary details.

What can I expect to do at the meeting?

As a group member you have the choice to take part in as much or as little group activities as you please. Our group offers a variety of activities, besides the highly relaxed & comfortable social setting with other like minded group members we also take part in a little flower arranging, Art & crafts & so much more.

One 2 One Peer Support

The Jason spencer trust appreciate that not everyone is ready to jump straight into a group environment, but would still like to receive all the benefits as a full group member. Therefore we provide private one 2 one support meetings in a private, peaceful & relaxing environment for those of you who need more time to adjust to a group environment, or anyone who wishes to just stick to one 2 one support. We are here to help give you the much needed understanding, encouragement & support which is vital during the process of grief, so If you feel that you need someone to talk to, or have a problem which you need help with then please “Get in Touch” we are here to help in anyway that we can, you don't need to suffer alone. Simply call 0115 9589107 to book a suitable day & time for your visit.

Note: This service is only by appointment & referrals only. All meetings are held in the strictest of confidence.

As a member of our support group ‘Day Retreats’ are just a small part of what we offer. We search high & low, near & far to help provide you with as much group activities as possible. The Jason Spencer Trust strongly believe in the importance of ‘Rest Bites’ during bereavement, taking that much needed time out from your everyday lives is an essential part of healing. Therefore we endeavour to help provide as much rest bites as possible, through fundraising & other funding means we will continue to help provide that vital healing tool, from relaxing group retreats to family short breaks beside the sea, to fun themed days out.
